1. Overview and Acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.cvpilots.co.uk and www.resumepilots.com (together, the “Sites”), and your purchase of any services offered through them.

CV Pilots Limited is a company registered in England and Wales and based in the United Kingdom. We provide digital professional career services to clients in the UK, the United States, and internationally. Where we trade under the brand name “Resume Pilots”, the legal contracting entity remains CV Pilots Limited.

By accessing the Sites, placing an order, making payment, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which form part of this agreement.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Sites or purchase our services.


2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase our services or use any payment, instalment, or financing options offered at checkout.

You confirm that all information you provide to us is accurate, current, and complete.


3. Our Services

CV Pilots Limited provides professional, personalised career services, which may include:

  • CV / résumé writing

  • Cover letter writing

  • LinkedIn profile writing and optimisation

  • Career strategy and job search support

  • Interview preparation or coaching

The specific scope of services, deliverables, timelines, and inclusions are described on the relevant service page, proposal, invoice, or order confirmation.

All services are delivered digitally. No physical goods are shipped.

Because our services are bespoke and require client collaboration, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, including interviews, job offers, promotions, or salary increases.


4. Orders and Acceptance

All orders are subject to our acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:

  • The requested service falls outside our scope

  • We reasonably believe the service is unsuitable

  • We suspect fraud, misuse, or abuse

If we cancel an order before substantive work begins, any payments received will be refunded in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.


5. Pricing, Taxes, and Currency

Prices are displayed on the Sites or agreed in writing and may change from time to time.

The price charged is the price shown at checkout or confirmed in writing at the time of purchase.

You are responsible for any bank fees, foreign exchange charges, or card issuer fees applied by your financial institution.

Where applicable, VAT or other taxes will be applied in accordance with UK tax law and based on your location.


6. Payments, Instalments, and Financing

6.1 Payment Methods

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.

Payment must be successfully completed before work begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6.2 Instalment Plans and Third-Party Financing (Including Klarna)

If you choose to pay using an instalment plan or third-party financing provider, including Klarna:

  • Your financing agreement is between you and the provider

  • Approval decisions, repayment terms, interest, and fees are determined solely by the provider

  • CV Pilots Limited does not control eligibility decisions

  • We deliver services in accordance with your order and these Terms

Any approved refunds are submitted promptly and processed in accordance with the provider’s own policies and timelines, which are outside our control.

6.3 Failed or Reversed Payments

If a payment fails, is reversed, or becomes subject to a chargeback, we may pause work until payment issues are resolved.


7. Client Responsibilities

To enable us to deliver high-quality services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during onboarding

  • Attend scheduled calls or provide reasonable notice if rescheduling is required

  • Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback within requested timeframes

Delays or failure to engage may affect delivery timelines and do not constitute grounds for a refund.

You are responsible for reviewing all deliverables to ensure factual accuracy.


8. Refunds, Cancellations, and Fair Resolution

Our Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of these Terms and applies to all purchases.

This policy applies to all customers, subject to any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

8.1 Cancellation Before Work Begins

You may request cancellation within 14 days of purchase, provided that substantive work has not yet commenced.

Substantive work includes, but is not limited to:

  • Writer or coach allocation

  • Intake review or onboarding analysis

  • Consultation or strategy calls

  • Drafting, editing, or analysis

Where eligible, refunds may be issued less any non-recoverable administrative or processing fees.

8.2 Once Substantive Work Has Begun

Once substantive work has commenced, services are generally non-refundable, reflecting the bespoke nature of the services.

Our primary remedy is to complete the agreed scope of work through the included revision process.

Refunds are not issued due to:

  • A change of mind

  • Changes in personal or career circumstances

  • Market or hiring conditions

  • Outcomes beyond our control

8.3 Quality Assurance

If, after completion of the agreed scope and revision process, you remain genuinely dissatisfied, you may raise your concerns in writing.

At our sole discretion, we may offer an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • Additional revisions, or

  • In rare cases, a partial or full refund

This is a quality-assurance measure and does not create an automatic right to a refund.

8.4 Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have any concerns, we encourage you to contact us first at team@resumepilots.com so we can attempt to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in work being paused and supporting documentation being provided to the payment or financing provider.


9. Revisions

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Services include two rounds of revisions

  • Revisions are intended to refine existing content

  • Substantial new information not provided during onboarding may be billed separately

Feedback should be provided within 10 business days of receiving drafts. If feedback is not received within this timeframe, deliverables may be considered complete.


10. Project Holds and Inactivity

To ensure fair scheduling:

  • Projects may be placed on hold if onboarding materials are not returned within 30 days

  • Clients may re-engage within 90 days, subject to availability

  • After 90 days of inactivity, services may be deemed delivered and the project closed

No refunds are issued for projects closed due to inactivity.


11. Out-of-Scope Work

Work outside the agreed scope may be billed separately, subject to your approval before work begins.


12. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sites is owned by or licensed to CV Pilots Limited.

Documents created for you may be used for your personal professional use only and may not be resold, distributed, or licensed to third parties.


13. Testimonials and Feedback

By submitting testimonials or feedback, you grant us permission to use them for marketing purposes. We typically use first names or initials only unless otherwise agreed.


14. Third-Party Links

The Sites may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.


15. Prohibited Use

You must not misuse the Sites, submit false information, infringe intellectual property rights, introduce malware, or engage in unlawful or abusive behaviour.


16. Disclaimers

We provide services with reasonable skill and care. However:

  • We do not guarantee outcomes

  • Employment decisions are made by third parties beyond our control

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.


17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.


18. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CV Pilots Limited, its directors, employees, and contractors from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Sites.


19. Termination

We may suspend or terminate services if these Terms are breached. Obligations incurred prior to termination will survive.


20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your country of residence.

Financing agreements entered into with third-party providers are governed by the provider’s own terms and applicable laws.


21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Sites constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
